Computer neepery question ... which is better?

10k RPM 1.5 GB/s transfer rate disk (say Western Digital Raptor) or 7200RPM 3 GB/s transfer rate disk (say Western Digital Caviar SE).

This is for a home machine, so we're not talking about streaming logs of stock quotes or something like that.  But, it does support the 3.0 GB SATA transfer rate.

I'm inclined to guess that for home use the 10k RPM disk would win out because you want to get a smaller amount of data as quickly as possible.
