Ah the scams ...

So, I've been selling some excess stuff on Ebay and, for the stuff that is too heavy or people really should see first, I've been trying to sell on Craigslist.

The first time I put some of the stuff up on Craiglist, I got a number of responses asking if I was being effected by the downturn in the economy and offering "financial advice". I reported those people to Craiglist and Gmail abuse.

This time, after posting at about midnight, someone sent me a message at about 5 AM, asking if the item was still available. When I wrote back about 9 AM saying that "Yes, it was still available." I found his Gmail account had already been suspended. I'm trying to figure out the scam here, and can only think that he had already run afoul of something before he sent the email to me or this was an email harvesting ploy. (They wait to get my response back from a real email address and harvest that address and never reply directly again.)
