After getting the run around with Verizon Wireless since April, I have just filled a compaint with the State AG's office.
Cell phone service was canceled (switched from Verizon to TMobile) on 3/14. In late April, May, and June [after I received monthly bills from Verizon showing that they owed me $74,] I called to ask for a refund and was told repeatedly that it would take 1-2 months but they could find no record of the previous requests.
On 8/2 I called again and was told that the request went in to customer service on 6/19 and was approved and sent to the check processing on 7/25 and it should take 7-14 days from 7/25. It has been more than that and I have not received a check.
I just called again and was told that the request really didn't go in until 8/2 and it would take 30-60 days from 8/2.
It seems that Verizon is hoping people will just give up and they can keep our money.
