DragonCon and Fire Marshalls and Hotels

So, DragonCon takes over most of the 3 hotels - the Hyatt, the Marriott, and the Hilton. The Marriott is largely under construction this year which means that the lobby "concourse" parts that would have been in the Marriott have moved to the Hyatt.

And the Fire Marshall wasn't pleased ...

Also D*C is suffering a little from the hotels demanding payment up front for all rooms and taxes and one night *paid* deposit when people made their reservations. Fortunately the hotel thinks we are Mundanes so we have had none of those problems - I booked the Hilton on points and my Diamond HHonors status got us upgraded to the Executive Floor. The Hilton Executive Lounge is a nice oasis among the craziness, like ConJose except a little further away and even more of a different paradigm from the rest of the con.
